Nottingham Forest striker Lewis Grabban has this morning moved to quash reports of a training ground bust-up.

The Daily Mail had reported last night that an argument had taken place between Grabban and Forest over his latest injury setback.

The piece claimed that the issue had become ‘contentious’ over the severity of an Achilles problem and that the striker had left the training ground ‘visibly irritated’.

The 31-year-old has missed the last two games for the Reds due to the injury, but it doesn’t appear that any breakdown between player and the club has occurred.

Grabban has scored 16 goals in all competitions this season and he has moved to blast the reports via Twitter, saying:

Grabban’s decision to take to Twitter to slam these reports will delight Forest fans.

The Reds desperately need to pull together at this time with the club just four points off the top-six.

Martin O’Neill has done a lot of good since arriving at the City Ground.

One of those things is creating a togetherness among the supporters, with the boss making every effort to ensure everyone at the club is pulling in the same direction.

Grabban’s injury is frustrating but given his performances this season, you can bet that he is chomping at the bit to start banging the goals in once again.

The striker is arguably the club’s best summer signing and given his goal return he has proved value for money.
