Nottingham Forest were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw with the Championship’s bottom club Ipswich Town at Portman Road.

It leaves the club’s play-off ambitions in tatters and gives boss Martin O’Neill plenty to ponder during the international break.

The performance was below-par and is a massive disappointment for those of a Forest persuasion.

Things just never really clicked for the Reds and the performance levels have looked really disjointed of late.

Forest have struggled during the current campaign when posed with a genuine chance to close the gap on the teams above them. This was sadly another case of just that.

Daryl Murphy did have a perfectly good goal chalked-off just before half-time but in truth, a draw was a fair result.

O’Neill will welcome the two-week break for the international fixtures. Lewis Grabban has been missing for a month but could return when Forest resume in a fortnight.

Following the game, Forest supporters took to Twitter to vent their frustration at yet another abject away display.
