Albert Adomah knows what it takes to get out of the Championship and is hoping to see Nottingham Forest take him to a personal hat-trick.
Spells at Middlesbrough and Aston Villa have seen the winger secure promotion to the Premier League.
The most recent of those successes came in 2018-19, as Adomah helped to dash the dreams of Derby in a play-off final at Wembley.
He is now setting his sights on the top tier once more, having moved to the City Ground as a free agent.
Forest are buying into both his ability and experience, with the Ghana international aware of what is required from Sabri Lamouchi’s side.
Adomah told Seat Pitch, courtesy of the club’s media department: “Everyone asks me what it takes to get out of this division and I have to be honest, the main thing is the team.
“Obviously it’s the players, but it’s working together as a team. That’s the main thing, there’s no individual.
“Yes, sometimes you might need that individual talent to change a game but if you work together, as a unit and a team, there’s a chance for any team in the league.”
Adomah contributed four goals and three assists to Villa’s cause last season, having found the target 14 times in the previous campaign.
He boasts a proven record of end product in the final third of the field.
The challenge now is to deliver for Forest, with Forest needing everybody to fire if their ultimate targets are to be hit.
Quizzed on the qualities that he brings to the fold, Adomah said: “Personally, hopefully my creativity – to provide assists.
“I always say this to people, if I score it’s a bonus as for me the main priority is to create chances and help the team score more goals.”
The Reds will be looking for Adomah to deliver on both counts in 2019-20.
Goals from all areas of the field will be essential in any bid to leave the second tier for the first time in two decades.
Added creativity is also a must, with Forest having been over-reliant on the likes of Joe Lolley at times.
Efforts have been made to address those issues, with Adomah one of several fresh faces to have been acquired in a bid to unlock the potential which exists on Trentside.
