Nottingham Forest defender Alex Milosevic has told Nottinghamshire Live that it’s a lot of fun working under new boss Sabri Lamouchi.
The Swedish defender was handed an extended break at the start of pre-season following his international commitments.
He returned for the trip to Greece, however, featuring in the games against Atromitos and Olympiacos.
The 27-year-old proved a masterful free signing in January and looks set to be a big player for Forest during the forthcoming campaign.
Milosevic believes it is so far, so good working under the new boss and is enjoying being back.
He told Nottinghamshire Live: “The players have a lot of trust in him.
“I have been back for two weeks and it has been a lot of fun working under him. I think we can only get better and better.
“We saw against Olympiacos that sometimes what you do in games can become dangerous for us – but we will learn from that.”
Milosevic is keen to hit the ground running this season and says he is relishing turning up for training every day.
He continued: “When I wake up in the morning and we look forward to training, I know there will be a lot of football; that there will be a lot of passing.
“It is a style of play that can work in the Championship. You cannot just run around and play pretty passing. You have to work hard, you have to tackle and you need to put your head where it hurts.”
The Seat Pitch Summary
Milosevic looks like being a big player for the Reds this season.
He showed lots of promise during the 2018/19 campaign, despite having never experienced Championship football before.
Against Atromitos he paired up well alongside Tobias Figueiredo and that looks like a partnership that could work.
The comments about Lamouchi’s style of play are interesting.
It would appear that Forest will want to get on the ball as frequently as possible and that will surely delight supporters.
