Nottingham Forest drew 1-1 with Charlton Athletic at The Valley last night to make it three games without defeat for Sabri Lamouchi’s team.

The Reds earned a share of the spoils after Albert Adomah cancelled out Lyle Taylor’s first-half opener.

Forest were extremely poor for the first 45. Charlton could and should have gone in at the interval more goals to the good.

Lamouchi alluded to the fact after the game that they were perhaps lucky to leave with a point, but at this stage of the season, no point on the road will go down as a bad one.

One man who shone for the Reds last night was Michael Dawson.

The 35-year-old has been trusted by Lamouchi and his partnership with Joe Worrall is getting better with each passing game.

Last season, injury restricted Dawson to just 10 games for the Reds and his absence was felt. Forest didn’t lose a game with the central defender in their team last season and despite not getting any younger his importance is evident.

Following his brilliant performance in last night’s game, Forest supporters took to Twitter.

They were keen to pay tribute to his solid display of defending and we looked at a selection of tweets regarding the Forest captain:
