Nottingham Forest will head to the DW Stadium on Sunday knowing that a win could take them to the top of the Sky Bet Championship.

The Reds won’t know the exact science behind hitting the summit until after the Saturday games have taken place, but the incentive to keep the unbeaten run going is clear.

Boss Sabri Lamouchi has overseen six wins and four draws since an opening day defeat against West Brom and the Reds look like a team on an upward trajectory.

With Samba Sow likely to be injured for the trip to Lancashire we at Seat Pitch asked the supporters via a Twitter poll who you wanted to replace him in the middle of the park.

After hundreds of votes in the last 24 hours, you have called for John Bostock to be called upon to replace the £640,000 summer signing (Nottinghamshire Live). He pipped Alfa Semedo with 47% of the vote, with Brennan Johnson and Tiago Silva backed considerably less.

The Reds midfielder arrived at the club on loan from French outfit Toulouse during the summer.

Due to Forest’s good form, he has found himself on the fringes so far during his short time at the club.

He was brilliant in the 3-0 Carabao Cup demolition of Derby County but in the Championship he has featured for just 26 minutes of a 1-1 draw against Charlton.

Solid

The 27-year-old looks like a promising player on paper but he will surely be keen to get a run of games under his belt in the near future.

Forest fans have clearly been satisfied with his brief performances so far and they are keen for Lamouchi to give him the nod to replace Sow this weekend – should he fail to recover from his hamstring injury.

Bostock is back in English football following several years playing in France, Canada, Turkey and Belgium. He will be desperate for a chance to earn a permanent deal with Forest when his loan spell ends in the summer but that will be dependent on the number of games he plays.
